Overview
The ESP32-C6 Super Mini carries Espressif’s ESP32-C6, the first ESP32 with Wi-Fi 6. Next to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 LE it has an IEEE 802.15.4 radio, so one board can talk Wi-Fi, Zigbee and Thread.
That combination suits smart-home work: Matter devices, Zigbee or Thread nodes, gateways that bridge a mesh network to Wi-Fi, and ESPHome or Home Assistant sensors. The main RISC-V core runs at up to 160 MHz, and a separate low-power core can keep simple tasks running while the main core sleeps.
Key Features
- ESP32-C6: 32-bit RISC-V up to 160 MHz, plus a low-power RISC-V core
- Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), 2.4 GHz
- Bluetooth 5 LE
- IEEE 802.15.4 radio for Zigbee 3.0 and Thread 1.3
- USB-C connected to the chip’s USB Serial/JTAG: no separate converter chip
- BOOT and RST buttons, on-board RGB LED
- Castellated pads: solder onto a PCB or use the pin headers

What’s in the Box
- 1 x ESP32-C6 Super Mini board
- 2 x pin headers (not soldered)
Please Note
- Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only. A Wi-Fi 6 router is not needed: the board also connects to Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5 routers on 2.4 GHz.
- Zigbee and Thread need a coordinator or border router on the network.
- The GPIO pins work at 3.3 V and are not 5 V tolerant.
- The pin headers are supplied loose and need soldering.
